| Yesterday, we discussed how Students of Enlightenment might better deal with our intensely emotional lives. What do we do when three-dimensional crap happens? What do we do when our emotions swallow us whole and threaten to obliterate our existence? What do we do on a daily basis, when there is no end in sight to our monotonous yet uncertain existence? The answer that you might not want to hear is that we must embrace our emotion every change we get. When we try to escape what we feel, we miss the point. Our emotions connect our infinite spirit to three dimensional limitation. We feel a certain way for a reason. When we understand the underlying cause behind what we feel, we see the weakness in our foundation and we can figure out how to strengthen those specific areas of our selves. Your emotions point to the areas of your self that require your attention the most. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Embracing our emotion is one thing. The trick is that we must embrace our emotion without letting it overcome us. We’ve all been depressed, and we have all experienced the attraction of the Black Hole of Despair. We all know how good it feels to surrender to emotion, to let go and allow it to envelop us without resistance, and we all know that there is a point where we must stop the self-indulgence, lest we lose ourselves in it. We must separate our emotions from the physical outcome of our efforts, while pursuing our lives with as much passion as we can possibly muster. It’s the game that matters, not who wins or loses. As long as you play as hard as you possibly can and do everything within the rules to do the best you can, you win. The challenge is within you. External competition only represents the internal competition inside each of us. We’re not separating our emotions from our daily lives. We’re separating our emotions from the RESULT of our daily lives, while conducting our daily lives with unrestrained passion. Knowing in the face of any turmoil that three dimensions is not real should help us to separate our emotions from the physical, but the illusion always seems the most real just when it’s most important to remember that it’s not. We all know that nothing feels more real than emotional pain, and we all know that nothing can be more debilitating to our entire Being. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When crap happens in our lives, let go of the outcome. See the big picture, and remember that everything will work out for the best for everyone. Stop trying to control other people’s destiny. Even if they are your kids, their spirit has plans for them that supersede your plans for them. Emotional pain only exists because of our emotional resistance. When we can’t seem to change anything, be patient with the time delay, and be patient with yourself. Use the energy of frustration to work harder on transforming your situation, and on transforming yourself. Let go of trying to control situations and people. Lighten up and enjoy your journey. Stop taking it all so seriously, because it’s going to work out for everyone no matter what.
