JAKE HUMPHREY ON THE SUPER BOWL
For the past couple of years we've been filming in the desert of Arizona or deciding whether Miami Beach or Ocean Drive is the best location to start the BBC's Super Bowl coverage, but not this year.

For 2010, myself and the ever-enthusiastic Mike Carlson will instead be asking someone to travel the opposite way across the pond to join us for Super Bowl XLIV between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts.

This Sunday evening we may well be at BBC Television Centre, but we will be sharing the 'Super Bowl sofa' with a current NFL quarterback, and one who has a lot to live up to.

If you follow American Football you will know about the successful San Francisco 49ers of the '80s and '90s, who were led by the great Joe Montana.

Well this weekend we have invited the latest man who is walking in his shoes to join us, current 49ers QB Alex Smith.

For the New Orleans Saints, not only is this their first Super Bowl, it comes just five years since their home was used as a makeshift shelter for the relief effort after Hurricane Katrina.

In the wake of the devastation caused in Haiti it's the perfect moment to show the world that it's a city back on its feet.

As for the Indianapolis Colts, well they need very little introduction and they have game-winning talent across the field.

Their talisman, Peyton Manning, is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the modern era, a four-time NFL Most Valuable Player who would love to win his second Super Bowl ring.

So a current franchise quarterback in the studio, the favourites against the fairytale and The Who keeping us entertained at half time... I'm starting to worry it might be a bit much for poor old Mike. Good job he won't have far to travel to get to his bed afterwards this year!!

Watch live coverage of the New Orleans Saints v Indianapolis Colts live on BBC Two, BBC Radio 5 live sports extra and the BBC Sport website on Sunday from 2255 GMT.
